Needs a computer running? Thats so 2000

Used VLC for years on my PC. Wanted to stream movies to my tv, but you need to have a PC on and running, with a helper file installed on it.
It wont recognize my NAS hard drive on my network. Sorry VLC, think Ill stick with Infuse for now.
